Ellad is a member of our Litigation Group. Ellad brings a competitive drive and a passion for oral advocacy to his work in commercial and tax litigation. His competitive nature can be traced to his background in athletics which included competing at the highest level of Men’s Varsity Tennis throughout his university career.
His work involves a broad spectrum of commercial litigation practice areas including shareholder and contract disputes, real property disputes, construction litigation, condominium litigation, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, estates litigation and employment law.
A major focus of Ellad’s practice is in the area of tax litigation, where he has achieved excellent results for his clients during the objection and appeal stages of their tax appeals. He has appeared on behalf of his clients at all levels including the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Ellad attributes his success to his hard work, being thoroughly prepared, and, of course, most importantly, his desire to win which is fuelled by his competitive nature. Ellad also prides himself on achieving cost-effective and practical results for his clients by assessing his clients' individual goals and needs on a case by case basis. Ellad is also committed to providing his clients with exceptional service and the high level of professionalism that they deserve.
